Product Description
This sword’s dimensions and craftsmanship draw direct inspiration from the legendary Japanese National Treasure “Yamatorige.”
While not a replica, its proportions, style, and construction pay homage to the elegance and authority of that historic masterpiece.
Forged from T8 high carbon steel and clay-tempered to achieve a real hamon, the blade combines a hard, razor-ready edge with a resilient, flexible body—just like traditional Japanese blades were meant to be.
The real yokote, real bo-hi, and refined three-tone Japanese polishing highlight the blade’s geometry beautifully.
The mounts feature gilded sakura tachi fittings, paired with a silver nashiji lacquered saya, giving the entire sword a noble and graceful presentation worthy of a collectible weapon.
Despite its larger size, the carefully adjusted weight and balance point allow for surprisingly smooth handling and strong, controlled cuts.
